Professional training and personal experiences have been the building blocks of my massage practice. Twenty years of providing massage have allowed for a broad understanding of my clients and their conditions. As a LMT, I draw from my extensive training in human anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques.
I am proficient at addressing acute injuries stemming from auto accidents and chronic pain resulting from long term misalignment. In addition, I’ve worked with many athletes and the multitude of injuries they present.
My path in the health care field has been an exciting journey, and I feel very fortunate it has led me to a holistic world of Massage and Nutritional Therapy.
My clients benefit from my functional approach. For example, my massage sessions typically include active and passive stretching, exercise instruction, and a discussion of the importance of nutritional support. The therapeutic modalities I specialize in include deep tissue massage, pregnancy massage, lymphatic drainage, and temporomandibular joint / TMJ techniques.
As a practitioner my strength is listening to the client. My skill as a massage therapist lies in intuitive ability to focus much needed attention on problem areas while addressing the body as a whole. My style is deep yet gentle enough to promote relaxation while getting to the root of chronic pain with highly effective healing results.
My love of the outdoors and personal experience as a mom, marathon runner, and backpacker allow me to relate to clients at all levels of fitness and athletic ability.
Did you know? If you’ve recently been in a car accident, your PIP insurance will cover chiropractic care, acupuncture, and massage therapy for up to a year. It’s very important to not let a fixable situation linger in the case of even minor trauma to the spine, so be sure to get the treatment you need!
