Chrystal’s enjoyment of outdoor activities and her own experience with scoliosis drive her to continually study the body. She believes our challenges can become puzzles to solve, and her goal is to help others stay active well into their senior years.
She began focusing on fitness years ago when a chiropractor told her that staying strong would help her spine. Her wellness career began as an indoor cycling instructor while training for a triathlon. People often approached her for advice, leading her to spend time researching best practices and eventually become a personal trainer. Many of her clients came to the gym with prior injuries. Wanting to avoid putting weight on compromised joints, she began focusing on functional fitness and exploring ways to balance the body. She started by learning stretching and strengthening techniques before leaving the gym to study massage therapy.
Since graduating in 2013, Chrystal has continued her studies and loves combining intuition with science. She believes each person is unique and can benefit from a holistic, multidisciplinary approach to wellness. This is one reason she loves working at Corbett Hill and being part of a team. She is inspired by helping people work through their own challenges and make progress with their self-care.
In her free time, she enjoys working on old houses, taking in the scenery on a bicycle, backpacking, knitting with soft yarn, baking elaborate desserts, and spending time with her husband and quirky pets.
